Another beautiful sunny autumn weekend, we went to the 'Grounds for Sculpture' in Hamilton, NJ

It intertwines the beauty of nature and the fruits of human creativity, with a sculpture park, music, art exhibitions, water fowls, pea fowls and more. Hundreds of contemporary sculptures, from monumental to small scale, can be found on this beautifully landscaped ground. It's a magical place where you can lose yourself in magnificent and the unexpected.

One set especially caught our attention is the 'Nine Muses' in granite. Stone walls surround this space, in which various forms of sculpture await inside secret hideaway niches. A long promenade is flanked by these nine daughters of Zeus.
Around the corner, one is confronted with a stark contrast - George Segal's iconic 'Depression Breadline' with its desperate men forever frozen in line.

'Artist in Action' is a special day event and we got chance to get into the sculptor's studios, viewing their latest works and seeing them demonstrating their expertise in a variety of media.

We were so mesmerized by Autumn Flame - the gold Ginkgo, Birch and the scarlet Maple all made for gorgeous fall color. A small troupe of peacocks and peahens greeted us when they were wandering in the courtyard perfectly ended our visit.
