That self portrait doesn't do ya justice.

John - I read our original email corro today and noticed that you posted this site. I enjoyed the photos very much! I'm glad I looked at the email again and look forward to getting together sometime with my good childhood friend.

A recurring theme in the DPReview forums is that the camera doesn't make the photographer, it's the other way around. On the other hand, the more powerful and/or flexible your tools the more creative latitude you can display. I can hardly wait for your galleries to start filling up with D70 images. You are already an exceedingly accomplished photographer. Very nice galleries John.
Dorli Pinette 27-Aug-2004 05:52
Your pictures are awesome!! Good luck with the D70 and hope you will be able to produce such vivid natural colours as you have been able to get with the 5700.

Hey JohnBoy, great stuff you got here. Did you ever think of becoming a pro? Liked the shots of the snow, specially cause I can look and don't have to shovel the stuff. Hows the book coming. Did you kill off Buz yet? Keep up the good work.

John, your farm photos are refreshing,
just last spring I stopped
on my way to work and took some early
photos of fresh ground plowed then every week
took the photo at the same spot...S.DeSanto

Hi John: Liked your photos - some of the snow shots remind me winter at home (in Levelland, Tx). Take Care. Cleta

John,
You've still got it. Nice shots. Your work looks like Jay Maisel's images and it doesn't get any better than that. Are these for sale? Are you doing these shots for fun or for added income? How did you get a web site up so quickly?
Suggestion: A few of your shots would be stronger without the color distraction, you might consider converting some of them to pure black and white. Keep up the terrific work!
Happy Holidays.
Sincerely,
Robert Mihovil

Wonderful work. I am very impressed with your way of capturing the beauty in such common everyday things most of us pass up everyday.
