Mount Erasmus

This photo was shot on the same day as the rainbow shots I've posted. I knew the way the weather had been so active all day long that I needed to find a west facing vantage point for right about sunset. The weather forecast showed it to be improving about that time so I was hoping for some dramatic lighting with the mountains.
I had spent all day long along the southern portion of the Icefields Parkway so I decided to head back north to Saskatchewan Crossing and drive east a bit on Highway 11, aka David Thompson highway. I had plenty of time to scout out a spot to sit and wait; and got some nice shots of other cool stuff in the process!
And wouldn't ya know it, the skies cooperated and put on quite the show as the sun was going down. I just love Banff and Jasper National Parks, and the whole Canadian Rockies range!
