I have been involved in birding for over 40 years and bird photography for the last 15 years. Over the years, I have photographed a diversity of nature subjects, but bird photography has been my passion. I live in Central Louisiana and this area is between the pine savannahs and hills of north Louisiana and the marshes and Cypress studded lakes of the southern part of the state. This has given me the opportunity to photograph many avian subjects. Every day in the field is a learning experience for me and I feel very fortunate to be able to enjoy the natural world.
