Snowy Owls in Boundary Bay

Every few years there is a cyclical decline in the lemming population in the arctic. During these lulls in the Snowy Owls favorite food source they travel south in search of better hunting. Boundary Bay in Vancouver area is one of their hunting spots and it gives photographers an opportunity to photograph these beautiful birds.
