Ph1893.jpg

Desert de Retz, Chambourcy (west of Paris, France)

A strange pyramid-shaped building from the 18th century. It was used for the storage of ice collected during winter.
Ice was kept underground during most of the year. Some sort of outdoor ice-box. . .

What a nice building,
Mysterious and well built, hiding in a dappled wood.
But, is it on a ley line ?
Who knows.
