Another 90 km from Gyantse, Shigatse is the 2nd largest city in Tibet, after Lhasa...

But it's much quieter and less 'Chinese' than Lhasa... a lot nicer to be in... if not for it's high altitude of 3900 m... spent my coldest sleepless night here in Shigatse...
