Opportunity presented itself and there I was, back to Middle Earth...

First half of this wonderful journey was spent on the "Adventure-Based Learning" course... was based in Wainui & Christchurch, South Island...

Second half of the adventure was spent in the Northland, the northern most tip of North Island...

I've become very used to not planning any itinerary before leaving home... the thrill comes from the unexpected, and the surprises that came along the way... My plan to travel so far north only came when I reached Auckland after the course... Rented a Mazda hatchback, and off I went...

God created New Zealand in Velvia colours... my solo driving in the country-side was very therapeutic... I thought I almost saw some hobbits in Shire-lookalikes... and at times, while glancing at the vast expanse of land, I thought I could see the great LOTR battles all over again...

Such freedom... such liberation... so fulfilling... so comforting...

looking at pictures of new zealand where i spent 5 yrs of my adult life is so invigorating and refreshing. Love to see them over and over again, Im now living in US but Im planning to go back to new zealand. Nothing beats this country..... so lovely...
