The reason I haven't sent it back yet is because I think it will come back without the whine but running much hotter. It was a lot of work fixing the heat problem and I'm not sure yet if I want to do it again. -Chris
Your macbook pro is generating whine sound?
I believed Apple has acknowledged this problem and begun to replace the motherboard if you send it back for service.
Macbook doesn't suffer from the same problem.
