Unfortunately, the high schoolers on the Young Life project only had one week available. In addition to making huge improvements to the upper floor, they were able to put 3 coats of paint on the back wall of the dining room, and built new picnic tables to replace the small and wobbly tables that the orphans had been using. New table clothes can be seen on the picnic tables. Note also that the drain has been fixed. Young Life offered to pay to have the sewer unblocked, and a local service was obtained within a couple days. The High Schoolers with Young Life had already taken up a collection to pay for this, but the drain cleaner provided the use of his crew and truck to the orphanage for free. The YL kids scrubbed the floor for over an hour, but the stains left from the standing water are permanent.
