Along the nave towards the crossing

Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire

This is definitely one of those churches where you can’t help saying “wow” when you walk in! In terms of building style, the chancel, transepts and crossing are Early English Gothic, the nave is Decorated Gothic and the west end is Perpendicular Gothic. Despite these different styles, the medieval craftsmen all stayed true to the original design plan and the interior has an impressive visual unity.
