Birmingham Town Hall. Built 1832 to 1834 and designed by Joseph Hansom and Edward Welch, it was the first substantial 19th century Roman revival building in England.

Did you go inside John - it was renovated a few years ago and looks very fine indeed. Buddy Holly (as did all pop singers of the day) played a concert there in 1968.
