After my recent experimenting with HDR, this is a decidedly "low-tech" image, taken with a Pentx ME Super film camera from around 1984. It was my father's old camera and has been gathering dust on a shelf since he died many years ago. I thought it might be nice to give it an outing.
The building in the picture is around 200 years old and started life as a coaching inn for travellers between Birmingham and Oxford (and then on to London). Since I have known it, it has been The Nag's Head, part of the Harvester group of restaurants. A few years ago Harvester decided that they didn't want to keep it and it was going to be turned into a nursing home. There was local outcry at that proposal so the plans were dropped. The building has now been turned into a steakhouese. We have been once. The steaks are good if you are hungry and are in the area!
