Planeur de type Slingsby T31B restauré par des passionnés de vol à voile. Ce type d'appareil en bois et toile a effectué son premier vol en 1949 et servait à l'entrainement des pilotes de la Royal Air Force jusqu'au milieu des années 80. Les pilotes sont vraiment assis à la terrasse !

Slingsby T31B glider restored by gliding enthousiasts. This aircraft made of wood and canvas flew for the first time in 1949 and was used to train Royal Air Force' pilots untill the mid 80'. Note that pilots are really seated at the terrace!

Planeador de typo Slingsby T31B restaurado por apasionados de vuelo a vela. Este tipo de planeador hecho de madera y tela, vueló por la primera vez en el año 1949 y servia para entrenar los pilotos de la Royal Air Force hasta el medio de los años 80. ¡Vea como los pilotos estan sentado al terazza!

The Australian Gliding Museumhttp://www.australianglidingmuseum.org.au/ also has a flying Slingsby T31B... and it is all red.

This aircraft was one of the gliders allocated to my Air Cadet gliding school and is one that I have taught a lot of cadets to fly in. It's great that it is still flying and to see that you have kept the colours and the Goony bird on the tail which was our school emblem.
