I finally had a chance to go to the zoo to see my favorite cats yesterday. I just bought Sigma's 120-300 f2.8 zoom and was anxious to try it out on subjects that I had shot with other lenses that I own. The results were just outstanding, sharpness, contrast and overall performance.

Not forelorn Rene he is checking out a squirrel in their habitat. I was wondering which cat would chase the intruder away. I focused on this one but his brother beat him to the chase.

Wonderful shot. Very sharp. Very complex expression with the smigin of toung and it looks almost like he's resting his chin on the plant.
