the baby is about three and a half weeks old now and will soon start branching which occurs at about 4-6 weeks. i hope to keep updating the progress of this owlet. the mother is doing well, gliding silently for food. i also hope to capture her in flight soon. time will tell. jeff

on another note, i don't why the exif data says 950mm for my focal lenght. i'm using a 1.7 converter on my 400mm lens which should give me a focal length of 680mm. it isn't the camera because the same thing happened with my nikons. any ideas? jeff
