Miami’s South Beach, famous for its art deco flair and upscale shops and hotels is a mecca for the wealthy and tourist alike. You can sit in a sidewalk cafe and watch the Ferraris and Lamborghinis slowly roll down Ocean Drive while across the street in the park people exercise, dance and stroll the day away. Just beyond view from the street sit the aqua blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the beaches where the masses stake out their plot of sand for a day of sun worship.

At night the buildings from another age are bathed in the soft glow of neon while on the street each cafe uses a hawker, usually an attractive young woman, to try to get folks to eat at their establishment. Music is everywhere and as the night progresses the pace of the district surges. The people, who scurry through each dining area, are progressively more well-dressed as they head to their favorite bar or restaurant for the evening. Nightlife here is synonymous with the street life as the party blends the growing number of individuals with the sidewalk cafes and the cruising cars, some of which are parked and blaring music of all kinds.

After the nightlife has settled with the rising sun the emphasis turns once again to the lovely young ladies on the street trying to hawk their café’s breakfast specials; and it all begins anew…
