My next stop was the powerful, dangerous, mystical, romantic, jewel on the Niagara River between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie; Niagara Falls. I toured the US side of the boarder and stayed on the Canadian side because the views of both falls are better there. From Canada you get to look directly into the Horseshoe Falls which is a spectacular site. For a more lofty view I ascended the 56 story Skylon Tower, while for the other extreme I boarded the Maid of the Mist and sailed past the US Falls and into the Horseshoe Falls. From any angle the falls are incredibly beautiful and awe inspiring.
