Officially known as Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park World Heritage Site the park actually crosses the border into Canada and was created in 1932 as the world’s first International Peace Park. From the tooth-like peaks to the large U-shaped valleys, the park is a testament to the eroding power of the glaciers that formed and transformed this area. I drove the famous Going to the Sun Road several times and took a side trip to the Many Glacier area to the north, both of which were spectacular!
