Ocean City - A quick trip
The kids and I took a quick 2 trip to Ocean City. We all love the beach so much! Tom felt he couldn't take off work but it turned out that it rained at home the whole time we were gone, so he should have just done it anyway!
After a much later than planned start, we finally arrived at our hotel around 5:00pm. We signed in, took some stuff to our room, upped the air conditioner and headed back out to dinner. I like to stick with stuff I know (how boring!) so we ended up at Outback. Not a terribly long wait considering where we were and what time it was. It did take some time for our food to arrive but it was great.
We went from dinner to the Jolly Rogers rides and games that are at the pier on the lower end of town at the inlet. We were all pretty disappointed to learn that Casey is still too short for any of the "good" rides beyond the big ferris wheel. Instead, I used the money we bought for rides at the game booths (you get a swipe card). I don't normally do this because it is *such* a waste, but the money was already spent. Casey was *thrilled* and had a blast at various stands. He was actually QUITE good at the balloon dart throwing stand!
Sarah got to play videographer as I handed the camcorder off to her. She had some fun with that, to be sure.

The pier
In all the years I've visited Ocean City, I've never been out on this pier. By the time we were done at the carnival, it was too dark to bother and we didn't have time to go back down.

Me and Spidey
Casey with his first "hard won" prize from the carnival games...an inflatable Spiderman. As it is with these kinds of things, he already has a miniscule hole somewhere and is barely holding air.

Looking up
...on the Ferris Wheel. We really did enjoy our two rides on the big ferris wheel. Casey was a bit apprehensive at first but quickly came to enjoy the view and the ocean breeze. Sarah loved playing videographer and the results are pretty funny to watch.

Happy Boy
There's nothing that brings a smile to a mother's face as much as seeing her child this happy. Must add that the monster lollipop was not a huge success. He quickly grew tired of carrying it after only a few licks. Lesson learned!

Ooooh! I'm scared!
Casey got the biggest kick out of seeing a "great white" coming through the wall of this building at the inlet. So, I took a picture to remember his excitement.

A boy and his shovel
Oh how this boy loves digging in the sand. Good thing too...it gave him something to do to warm up after playing the 68 degree water! Brrrr!!!

Funny face
You ask the child to smile and this what you get. I guess that comes with the territory after all the years of your mom shoving a camera lens in your face at every opportunity!
