On August 31st we drove down Digby Neck to Brier Island. We were scheduled for a whale-watching cruise that evening, and booked a place to spend the night on the island. The whale-watching cruise was fantastic, although my whale photos turned out much better than my bird photos. In addition to the Humpback Whales we saw Atlantic Puffins, Greater and Sooty Shearwaters, Northern Gannets, a Black-legged Kittiwake, several flocks of Red Phalaropes, and a Pomarine Jaeger. The next day we went exploring before returning to my fiance's sister's house.
