This is how it came home. A little dirty from being run around a field, but otherwise intact. It was still running, just barely. This bike cleaned up would go for $3-400 on Ebay. As things go, it would probably cost just as much to restore a $1500 bike with the usual problems. 40 year old bikes are 40 year old bikes. It is wishful thinking that a bike that looks good will not need an overhaul to run.
My friend Jeff Champion ( www.champsclock.com ) picked this YG1 and a Honda C70 up from another friend. They wanted him to see if he could get them running. Sure: "How much you want to spend?" The P.O. was thinking like $50.00....wonder what world he is living in.
Jeff picked up some parts and manuals, but decided that it was going to be a bigger project than he could handle. I traded him a gun for it and it ended up in my garage.
