The Christmas lights are up and people are out & about on the streets of London. But the mood is definitely different this year as global recession puts a damper on things. The good news is that Christmas 2008 will still arrive, & you can also detect signs of Christmas as well.

Some great candids here - I think most people were dreading the start of 2009 and what it would bring...Hopefully we are starting to see some green shoots of recovery now!

I think it's an excellent social documentary on current economic situations! We don't know yet how long this recession will last, but this is a meaningful photographic work already. thanks for bringing up this topic on Pbase. v
