Autumn is a Magical time in the desert Southwest.

In addition to the usual prickly cacti and the textures and colors of rocks and time-worn canyon walls, you'll encounter the colors of fall scattered amongst the red rock canyons. Fall is my favorite time of year to hike these canyons and experience their beauty & solitude.

I'm usually one of the last folks off of the trails as I take my time to listen, look, and photograph what's around me. The Fall is a peaceful time here. There's less hikers on the trails and the quiet canyons remind you that nature, & the changes of season holds still for no one.
