The Pima Air Museum in Tucson Arizona has an amazing collection of aircraft and is a must-see for any aviation enthusiast. Plan for an all day visit & lots of photography. The museum consists of serveral hangers and a huge outdoor exhibit area. Take your time and spend several hours walking through the indoor exhibits and the outdoor planes. You can get very close to most of the planes and come away with a deeper appreciation for both the aircraft and the crews who flew them.

The key to the Pima Air Museum is it's volunteers. You'll find our ( aging ) WWII veterans here ready to tell the stories of the planes and the war up close and personal along with Korean, Vietnam, and all sorts of other dedicated veterans who share their time and their knowledge. Seek these folks out and be sure to ask questions.

I try to capture the planes in a manner which conveys the history and the heritage which each plane posseses. Some of my post processing is aimed at trying to make the plane stand out for what it represents.
