When we lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metrolex area 1990-1995, Babe's was and probably still is THE BEST place to go for fried chicken bar none. Not to mention that have great side dishes.
Well worth the wait on a busy night, beacuase they do not take reservations, tleast when we live there.
Sure do miss that place, as well as a few other things like the severe weather in the spring time.
