I was so happy to see all of your great pictures.I don't see many baldeagles since I moved back to Alberta. I seen them everyday when I was in North Van, B.C. This has really lifted my spirtes, thankyou , thankyou.

These are THE most beautiful eagle pictures I've ever seen, and trust me, I've looked at a lot of them! I live in essential habitat and am a bit nuts about eagles. And also watch the Maine BRI eagle cam, and an Audubon eagle cam in Florida. The clarity of your photos displays your professional excellence. But living with eagles as I do, I see MORE than that. I see that you know the eagles well .... you know their habits and are ready to catch them in their daily activities. Beyond that, I see that THEY know you and are familiar with your equipment, where you stand, etc. They trust you. They know you aren't going to approach too close, closer than they are comfortable with. They are not staring at YOU, wondering what you're going to do next, etc. They are going calmly about their daily activities. (Although YOU do have one incredible photo elsewhere in your gallery of a bald eagle staring you down, which I interpret to mean "Back off, buddy"!! Even that is an incredible shot, though!) You have my very sincere admiration and respect -- plus my appreciation for the pleasure your pictures have given me, and will give the friends I tell about them.

These are absolutely the most spectacular eagle photos I have seen on the 'net. You are very fortunate to live in such close proximity to these beautiful birds. I'm jealous. You are also a brilliant photographer and I wish I had one tenth of your skill. Thank you so much for sharing with a bunch of strangers.

Judging by the faint brown markings on the male's head, I'd say you also have a first year breeding male, about years old.
