7/3: Beach Day

Capistrano Beach

I used my ultrapod to hold the camera and my wireless remote to snap this shot of my wife and me
doing our own public display. My remote has a 2-second delay setting, giving you time to hide it.
And yes, I do go to the beach a lot.

Processing:
  • RAW image, increase exposure, contrast and brightness
  • color channel separation and mixing,
  • double sharpen for contrast then detail,
  • color dodge 22% entire photo to add light,
  • Gaussian blur layer 20%, layer opacity 8% for subdued glow
  • Colorize at hue=54, saturation=8% for a very slight golden tone.
