This is one area where a keen photographer in Hanoi with time on hand can indulge his yearning for memorable photos to take back from the trip - street photography in general and how Vietnamese ride and use their motorbikes in particular. It is remarkable how they carry and balance all forms and kinds of things on their motorbikes, from flocks of poultry somehow strapped to and almost completely covering the bike, to huge cartons of belongings that dwarf and hang out precariously from the bike.
Unfortunately, I only spend a few days in North Vietnam, and didn't have the time to stake out the city for such shots, and only have this single image, of a family of four riding on a small scooter meant for two people, to show for it.
