With over 60 world class museums within the Paris city limits it can be overwhelming deciding on which to visit. We based our decisions on the queue to enter the museum, by deciding on the first day that we would rather spend our time experiencing the art than waiting in line. Several museums had a 1-4 hour wait to enter, regardless of time or day. We also purposely avoided several museum's to ensure we have a reason to return...

The famous Lourve museum. So very much to see, so very little time. For no particular reason we focused our visit on the ancient Egyptian collection, and French paintings. How France came to acquire so many of the world's treasures is beyond explanation. Thankfully the French have gone out of their way to ensure all is on dislay for everyone to enjoy.
The Lourve Palace itself is every bit as historically important as the artwork it houses. For over 700 years the immense Lourve complex was the home of French Kings and Emperors...
The buildings now house the Musée de l'Armée (the military museum of the Army of France) as well as the burial site for some of France's war heroes, most notably, Napoleon Bonaparte. The museum's massive collection of medieval weapons and battle armor is incredible.
