It was a frustrating day at work.
It started with an early morning "performance improvement" meeting. By definition, these usually lack many "good job" comments. I tend to just stay quiet and hope for the best.
I had some cancelations and no-shows which tend to cause much havoc to a schedule when each patient is scheduled for 1 or 2 hours.
Most of the evening was spent cleaning the house...an uphill battle to say the least.
And, as the clock continued to click towards midnight, I was seriously lacking inspiration.
I decided to shoot a quick photography of the nightlight that guides me when the bladder calls in the middle of the night, but also casts an eery glow as I am drifting off to sleep...susceptible to the replaying in my mind of hundreds of horror movies I've seen over the years.
And, then I noticed the details in these squiggle "accents". They were obviously made by some machine to add a little aesthetic to these otherwise purely functional devices. And, so comes my inspiration...to add a little aesthetic to my otherwise purely functional (and therefore frustrating) day. I'll take a pause in my mindless cleaning, wander through a few photos, and perhaps even hang one on my utilitarian white walls.
