This is a plain snapshot, taken in an uninspired location, of an extraordinary family.
I had the opportunity to have dinner with my parents and my sister this evening. It doesn't happen often, given each of our busy schedules. My parents actually rushed home from a wedding in order to join my sister and me at Zen, the site of many a celebration for the Cheng family. My parents ate very little because they had chowed heavily at the wedding only an hour or two before. Of course, the sushi, though yummy, was secondary to the company. We had a quick chance to catch up on the events of each of our lives. Then, we were off, each in a separate direction. It was great to have had the opportunity to chat for a little while...but once again, the words that I feel so deeply but are never said, went unspoken again...that I love them dearly.
Happy Father's Day.
