Happy Canada Day!
Canadians have been celebrating Canada Day (aka Dominion Day) since July 1, 1879. It is a celebration of the Anniversary of the formation of the Dominion of Canada.

I got to learn a little about this holiday. I'm currently down in Grand Cayman with a fantastic organization called Stay-Focused ( http://www.stay-focused.org/ ) that provides an adaptive SCUBA diving program for young-adults with paraplegia. A few members of our "crew" are Canadians and it was great to experience their national pride. It was a good reminder that we have different backgrounds and histories.
July 4th will be my opportunity to celebrate as an American. I hope many will raise a glass with me on that day as well.
