Sometimes things come at a cost and sometimes the cost is in tears.
We routinely use BoTox injections in the management of children with disabilities. Nope...not to make their wrinkles disappear. We use these injections to strategically loosen tight muscles, hoping to make them walk or use their arms better. I think of what these kids go through. Parents trust that this momentary pain will result in months of improved quality of life for their children.
Trust is difficult to earn and so easily lost. My biggest goal each day is to honor this trust.
