Bamburgh Castle, viewed from the beach is one of the iconic views of northern England. This massive fortification is perhaps the most well known of a number of castles strung along this rugged and romantic coast and further inland. It dates from a time when this stretch of coast was a scene of endless war and invasion. Today the beautiful beaches of Northumberland are peaceful and unspoilt. Other impressive and dramatic castles within a short distance of here include Dunstanburgh, Lindisfarne and Warkworth. Further inland is the majestic Alnwick, home of Hogwarts!
A really varied and stunning collection of photos. I've wanted to visit this place after seeing a few shots of it in the Landscape photographer of the year book. It seems very photogenic
Stunning photos, well done! Have just returned from a week in Northumberland and visited Bamburgh. It is indeed a brilliant place to photograph and your pictures are proof of that. Excellent work.
