At Labuan World War II Memorial Park, it is to commemorate 4,000 Australian, New Zealand, and British Allied servicemen who had lost their lives during the occupation of the Japanese at Labuan (which was renamed as Maida Island by the Japanese at that time).

A section of the Memorial Park is also dedicated to the Indian Soldiers of the Punjab Regiment who died fighting alongside their Allied comrades.

A wreath to remember the crews of US Navy USS Salute (AM-294) which sank on 8th June 1945 after it struck a mine during a minesweeping operation at Brunei Bay. Now it has become one of the diving spot in Labuan.
