While my MA Film Students where filming, I had to translate everything for them, as they could not speak any Portuguese.
I noticed the older boy, I've never met before, quietly and silently building one of the houses her sister was selling.
I went around taking some photos, after they stopped filming, and at the end, before the final good-byes, he came to me and gave me the house he has just done! With very litle words: "I just made it for you!" And then disappeard! I asked his Parents if I should pay him anything, they said not at all, he would be upset! So, we all went to his sister, and bought her another house each, but none so beautiful as so well made has the one he just gave me!
Makes me so sad: Looking at the aerial photos from Google I can see how all was destroyed!
Where can they be now?
And me, exiled on the other corner of the World have no means of knowing!
