Back in the 1970's there was still a Cross and a Crescent, and the stone skull and bones were intact!
Who had fun destroying them?
Or was there another reason?...
I just wonder...

I never knew the real meaning of this, or who built it....
And in fact, this Castle was NEVER attacked, but when Lisbon felt (some 20 Kms distance), the garrison surrendered without any fight! So, nobody died...
Therefore, even a bigger mystery!....
