Air Force One at PBIA

OK, I’ll admit it right up front ….. this is not a “fresh” photo.

But it’s something that does sometimes occur at PBIA (Palm Beach International Airport).
This is Air Force One …… the aircraft that carries the President of the United States.
In this case it was President George W. Bush who came to visit on March 18, 2008.
And it just so happened that I was working on the second floor of the building right across from the airport.
We knew he was coming so, of course, I had my camera with me that day.

One of the reasons for presidential visits to Palm Beach County is to attend
fund-raising dinners hosted by very wealthy residents living in mansions over in Palm Beach.
President Barack Obama has been here too.

The smaller photo below shows Secret Servicemen keeping watch on a roof adjacent to the plane.

Cool shots. With the hassles of air travel these days, the idea of a private Jumbo Jet is very appealing.

Cool shots!
Have you ever walked into a Joseph A. Banks store only to be greeted by the Secret Service? I have.... Jokin' Joe was shopping in Greenville, DE one day.... He's got the strangest hair....

Very interesting.
I wondered how close the plane was to the general public area.
Then I saw the picture below with the security guys on duty.
