It's not such a bad thing to get choked up a little every now and then. After talking to you on the phone, I wanted to do a shot to encourage you. If everybody just empathizes with you about going to Iraq, it will kill your morale. I wanted to do something to encourage you instead. I'm glad you liked the photo!

Hi Aubrey!
Tracy saw these clear plastic hearts at a craft store and she bought them for me to do a picture. I put the flag on some foam board and put it on the floor. I put two chairs on either side of it and set a piece of tempered glass on the chairs. I put the hearts on top of the glass. I set up one of my studio lights to fire on the flag down below. I did a couple of test shots to get the exposure right. Photoshop work was minimal. I adjusted levels and saturation. I cloned out some dust on the glass, and cloned out some defects in the plastic hearts. Start to finish was about 15 minutes!
I hope you had a great birthday! I meant to call you in the morning, but didn't have time before work. I didn't want to call you when I got home because it would be 2:00am there when it is 6:oopm here!

Thank You Brother! Your February 1st photo choked me up a little! Yes Life throws you some curve balls every now and again! And i thank you for using the Bible. As much as i Cuss, Drink, Smoke, and whatever, I still talk to God. I might not follow the true path, but God know's i try. And that keeps me strong. Along with Steffi and the rest of you all. Please forgive my English i was really bad in school ( its hard to have a German Wife Correct you all the time hehe) ok you all know im bad at writing so im going to sign off. I love you all.
