After we finished our Raft trip, we hurridly, but safely, drove to Portage Lake for the last Glacier Cruise of the day (and our last adventure before spending the night in Anchorage and flying home the next morning). We arrived at Portage Lake just in the nick of time to catch the cruise. For this cruise we had prepurchased half price tickets on the GrayLine Tours of Alaska web site for the 4:30 PM cruise. As it turned out, I would say it is the best glacier cruise value for the money in Alaska (we paid $50 for the two of us). Make sure to look at the second page of images where I have a sequence of ice breaking of the glacier and falling into the lake!
