The last time we were here, it was a National Monument, and now it is a National Park. Since we had previously visited it, we were already counting It as a park we had visited, so no net increase in our park count. With all the rain California has had this year, we had to take several large detours on our trip here due to washed out roads. We did not arrive at Black Rock Campground in the park until dusk. Still got some nice images near our campsite (site 28 in this campground is fantastic), even as it was getting dark. In the morning we got some more in the campground and also drove into a portion of the north/south road through the park in the morning.
