As we continue to follow the Polar Bear, here you can see two interesting things. First, it looks like it recently had a tracking collar on, but has recently managed to throw it off. That confirms that this is a female. Male Polar bears have necks as large or larger than their heads, making it virtually impossible to put a collar on them. Also notice the reddish stain on most of the bear. It is from minerals from the rocks in this area. You can see the line her head is at when swimming.
