Deer & Fawn at Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park, Summer 2009
These photos were mostly taken over a 10-15 minute span on July 11, 2009. However, there are a few taken there a month earlier, while my daughter & I were on a whale watching cruise, and a few following our encounter with the mother & fawns. While there are frequently deer in this area (probably some people feed them), it was nice to see that while we were photographing the mother & fawns, no one left the paved trail, or tried to feed them. The mother was obviously comfortable around people.
