These are images of the lodge, our cabin and room, how we got there, and the main falls viewing platform. Also, various scenics, of the area are in this gallery.
We used to live in Anchorage and were backpackers. On one trip, we encountered a grizzly. We had to quickly hang a cache and then lay down and pretend we were dead. It gave a whole new meaning to the word stiff for we were indeed scared stiff. The grizzly meandered over to where we laid and sniffed us all over and then left, leaving us untouched. Lucky for us it had been a good year with loads of wild berries everywhere abd newly spawned salmon. He was totally beautiful and instinctly new that we did not pose a threat. Oh, I wish we still lived in Alaska. Thank you for the incredibly beautiful pictures.
