I was stationed at the Kaserne 1974 to 1976. Its nickname was the Zoo. The Alta Fritz was right across the street for easy access to fine German beer. The pictures brought back many memories. The Pollock!

My name is Jess Keopke,
I was stationed at the Rheinland Kaserne in Ettlingen in 1964. I was with the 502nd Engineer Floating Bridge company, and I am thrilled to find these pictures of the kaserne. I was transferred from the 502nd to the 55th Engineer Panel bridge company at Smiley Barracks in Karlsruhe after making SGT E5, and stayed at Smiley until I left Germany in late 1967.
