I took this shot when I served aboard USS Intrepid (CVS-11), during flight operations in the Gulf of Tonkin, September 1968 in the Vietnam War. The A-4 Skyhawk was one of a series of successful Douglas attack aircraft designed for the Navy. I was a ship fitter. I was a welder in the shop.
