Light By Fire

...

Some favorites from a recent party using a Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D and Minolta 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5

Autofocus used for all (this camera's Autofocus is sensitive enough for locking focus in light this low, even with this zoom versus a prime on it).

All except for the photos of the fire were taken at 1/10 second, and all were at ISO 3200

All taken hand held with no flash or tripod, and some have a bit more motion blur compared to others. 1/10 second shutter speed is not recommended for fast action. :-)

But, to be able to get images at all in light this low is nice. Sometimes, you just want to capture fond memories, versus trying to be technically perfect. ISO 3200 combined with Anti-Shake make it possible, even with a relatively light weight zoom lens.
