perfectly isolated these buildings;
it's the "clean" space surrounding them, without people, cars, etc, together with a good framing and light measure, that make these image so attractive.

'Guest' is right. By using colors I am very, very far from the Becher. In my Tribute to Walker Evans, I try to imitate his style. But I am unable to copy Becher's style. This is only a tribute, not an imitation. Also, they used an elevated point of view, what I am unable to have....Thanks to the Guest.

The use of color is an interesting notion, but it really only proves how intelligently the Bechers approached the study of massive forms. Their stark photos of mills, factories, waterworks, etc., arrest one's eye and force you to attend. I would like to see how you would photograph the framework houses. Charm is an element of housing, as it simply is not of industrial structures.

C'est une superbe galerie qui nous fait découvrir la beauté partiulière mais indéniable des ces bâtiments.
Les cadrages précis et fort bien trouvés en font ressortir leur architecture très particulière et intéressante à découvrir.

C'est un superbe travail de recherche et de précison.

Ah, you're walking in the footsteps of Bernd and Hilla Becher :) I love that you have these in color, because the Becher couple mostly had B&W photos as I remember. Very nice. Good work!

Je suis admiratif devant ce travail. Je ne suis pas inspiré du tout lorsque je vois ce genre de bâtiment et de ce fait, je ne les prend pas en photo. Mais de voir toutes ces photos très graphiques, je me dis que heureusement vous êtes là pour que nous puissions en profiter.
