James: Wonderful gallery, we have captured the atmosphere of being at the jumpers and the character of the people who love this sport. In my youth, I spent four months in the north of England as bookie’s (Turf Accountant) clerk. We travel from racetrack to racetrack through Northumberland and the Scottish Boarders. Your photographs bring all those fond memories back. At that time jumper raced from November to the end of February: one noticeable difference was the weather. It was often cold, foggy, and wet. Excellent gallery, like that opened it with the master and closed it with riders carrying their saddles. Great action shots, nice sharp focus, exposures right on. Fave is the water shot. ~ (v)
